About a week ago I blogged concerning body fat and activity. I mentioned the less we moved about each day the more we carry body fat around causing health issues, well , today an article came out with this same conclusion.

There was a study done on some 17,000 men and women over about a 13 year period. This study concludes that people who sit about all day are 54% more likely to die of heart disease.

This study was also done on lab rats as well. It was found that rats which stand all day produces about 10 times more of an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase which breaks down fat in the bloodstream and turns it into energy. It doesn't matter how physical fit we may be; once we sit our LPL levels drops.

The body was created to love life to the fullest. Find something you love to do and it will not be difficult at all to keep moving all day. In fact you will find that there just isn't enough time in each day to do that which you can't seem to put down.

  2. I say it is better sitting all day doing what you love, than moving and hating what you do, but if you're moving about and loving it, than the benefits is surmountable compared to sitting.
