Let's Eat!

                             


Raise your hand if you like to eat! I have both of my hands raised. Food Food Food Mmm Mmm Mmm. I used to be the type of person who was conscious about what I ate until I found out how to eat. Now, I eat whatever and whenever I like. I seriously do not have any diet plans nor any special regimen I adhere to when it comes to eating. If the food looks good, smell good than you best believe it is the one who's in trouble not me.

I can sit here and write a long article about food and eating, but I'm not going to do that. I will say a few words and let that be for now. Our biggest challenge when it comes to food is, enjoying. If there is ever a perfect statistic I would say "loving food" would be it. 100% of people love food, but 99% don't enjoy eating. I know some of you would have to read that statement twice if not thrice. Doesn't make sense I know.

The 1% of people who enjoy eating knows it's more to loving food than the desiring and cravings you get for it. They know when you see, smell, feel and taste, you are truly using your senses when eating. If you're really in to it you might even hear it whispering sweet nothings to you. That is what you call being grateful. You must savor every delicious bite. You can taste every ingredient. You may not be able to quite name them but you can most definitely taste them. When you're eating, your mind is not on what happened yesterday or a few minutes ago. You are right there with your meal having a blast, you and your food are occupying the same space, you are one.

Most of us don't sit down to eat, but instead, we sit sit down to gobble. This gobbling is the root of many health and weight  issues. Not taking the time to be thankful for the food you're consuming creates a cesspool of waste. Your insides are turning into a filthy and disgusting sink sump, and it will start to show on the outside. It is imperative that we be thankful and show appreciation for what we eat no matter what it may be. You will appreciate and enjoy your food more when you taste and savor every bite. Real eating is what helps the body to regulate and create a beautiful well orchestrated internal system, and that too will show on the outside.

  3. I promise that my next meal I wil enjoy every taste and every smell. Reading this has really opened my eyes because I crave food like crazy but then I really don't enjoy it when im eating it. I feel guilty, and fat, and I just want it to be over so i shovel my food. I'll make a blog about my experience and will credit you for the idea!
